I have been hunting on the Disterhaupt place for about 14 years. The first seven years I hunted turkeys and then the last seven years have hunted deer and turkey at their place. The hunting every year is excellent. I came up bow hunting this year for a weekend and the stand that I sat in the deer moved through that area the whole weekend. I ended up shooting a doe but had a chance at a nice buck but missed. I came up again during the middle of the week during rifle season and the first morning shot a nice mature 4 X 4. That morning I had continuous action and I saw whitetail and mule deer. I enjoy coming to the Disterhaupt place because you will not find better people and they have treated me like just another person in their family. The deer stands that you will sit in are top notch. The huts are all heated and they are placed to put you in the best position to shoot a big buck. The deer and turkey population are excellent you will have constant action while hunting the Disterhaupt place. The food while you stay there is the best home cooking you will ever get. I cannot say enough good things about the Disterhaupt place the hunting is excellent and better yet Betty and Clem will treat you better than any other place you could hunt. If you want excellent deer and turkey hunting and you want to be treated right than this is the best place to go. Chad H.
